Amélia Jones remembered after medical emergency at cricket club

A fundraising appeal for Amélia Jones, a talented teenage athlete, has raised over £12,000 following her death after a medical emergency at Grampound Road Cricket Club. Amélia collapsed at the club on a Thursday evening and later passed away in the hospital.

Grampound Road Cricket Club chairman Lewis Sanders stated that the collapse was not connected to any cricket-related activity at the venue. The club expressed gratitude to first responders and the Cornwall Air Ambulance for their assistance during the emergency.

Amélia was a captain for the Cornwall Girls Under-14s and was also noted for her academic and musical talents. Her family has decided to donate her organs to assist others. The GoFundMe appeal was established by her uncle to assist the family with funeral costs and immediate financial pressures.
