Amélie Hoeferle and Graham Campbell have been cast as the leads in ‘Fake Skating’, a film adaptation of Lynn Painter’s high school hockey romance novel. The actors will portray Dani and Alec, two childhood sweethearts who reunite in high school and use a fake dating scheme to achieve personal goals: Dani seeks to bolster her extracurricular profile for Harvard, while Alec aims to improve his reputation for NHL scouts.
Josh Boone, known for directing ‘The Fault in Our Stars’, is set to direct the project. The screenplay was written by Morgan Lehmann and Victoria Bata, with revisions by Boone and Knate Lee.
