Amélie Hoeferle discusses career and ‘Sterling Point’

Actress Amélie Hoeferle discussed her career trajectory and her role in the Prime Video coming-of-age series ‘Sterling Point’, which premiered on August 5. Hoeferle plays the character Ramona in the series, created by Megan Park.

Hoeferle credited her entry into film to a chance encounter at age 14 in Tennessee with writer-director Erica Scoggins. Scoggins, a family friend, approached Hoeferle because she matched a character in a screenplay Scoggins was writing. The two collaborated on a short film that was shown at various festivals, including in France.

In ‘Sterling Point’, the theme of sisterhood is central to the narrative. Hoeferle’s character, Ramona, navigates a new relationship with the series' other lead character, Annie, played by Ella Rubin.
