Amélie musical to tour Italy starting October 2026

The musical “Amélie – Il Musical”, inspired by the film “Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain”, will embark on a national Italian tour from October 2026 to May 2027. Produced by Ad Astra Entertainment in co-production with Compagnia delle Formiche and Fabrizio di Fiore Entertainment & Fdf Ga t, the production will visit major Italian cities including Rome, Florence, Milan, Bologna, and Turin.

Italian actress and singer Giulia Ottonello has been cast in the lead role of Amélie Poulain. The production features a cast of fourteen performers and will be performed entirely in Italian, with lyrics and text adapted by Alessio Fusi. The show follows the story of a young waitress in Paris who seeks to improve the lives of those around her through small, secret gestures.

The musical follows an international lineage, having debuted on Broadway in 2017 and later being adapted for London’s West End. The Italian tour is scheduled to begin with a preview in Montecatini on October 3, 2026, followed by national performances at the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine from October 16 to 18.
