During an Ordinary General Assembly in Osório, the Association of Municipalities of the North Coast (Amlinorte) discussed preparations for the 2026/2027 Summer Operation.

Fire Department officials, including Lieutenant Colonel Abílio Homrich and Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Borges Moreno, emphasized the need for early preparation of lifeguard stations (guaritas) to support prevention and rescue teams. Mayors were also urged to assist in promoting the selection process for temporary civilian lifeguards to ensure adequate staffing for the upcoming season.
