Amman Design Week returns with 220 designers and 204 events
The fourth edition of Amman Design Week has returned under the theme ‘Accumulations,’ running from October 2 to 17. Held under the patronage of Queen Rania Al Abdullah, the event features 220 designers, makers, and innovators from Jordan and across the region, including participants from Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
The program consists of 204 activities spread across 59 locations, including Ras Al Ain, Jabal Al Lweibdeh, Jabal Amman, Irq Al Amman, and Aqaba, which is included in the program for the first time. The event explores how materials, knowledge, and social practices accumulate over time to shape design and environments.
Zain Jordan is sponsoring the event to support local creative talent. Through its ‘Dezain Space’ program, the company has provided a dedicated space for 10 supported Jordanian designers to showcase and sell their products directly to visitors. The main exhibition is hosted at the historic Ras Al Ain Hangar, a site dating back to the 1930s.
