Ammar Alfian pursues legal action over defamation claims

Malaysian actor Ammar Alfian is pursuing legal action against a woman who has allegedly continued to make defamatory statements about him despite a court-ordered injunction. Alfian stated that he has already secured an injunction to prevent the individual from approaching him, but claims she continues to speak about him publicly, which he views as a violation of the court's order.

Alfian addressed the ongoing matter during a press event for the film ‘Orang Perang’. He noted that the case is scheduled for further proceedings in January 2027. He emphasized that he is seeking nothing more than a public apology from the individual to clear his name after two years of facing insults and false accusations.

Regarding previous allegations that he had physically assaulted the woman, Alfian clarified that the case resulted in a ‘No Further Action’ (NFA) decision due to a lack of evidence. He expressed his intention to let the legal system and his lawyers resolve the matter to establish the truth.
