AM/NS India launches new heavy steel plate brands

ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has launched two new heavy steel plate brands, STRUCTROMAX and WELDSTAR, produced at its plate mill facility in Hazira, Gujarat. These products are designed to support India’s expanding infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, and transportation sectors.

STRUCTROMAX utilizes Thermo-Mechanical Controlled Processing (TMCP) technology. It is intended for use in large-scale projects such as bridges, high-rise buildings, railways, and wind energy, offering high load-bearing capacity and corrosion resistance. WELDSTAR is a range of ultra-high-strength steel plates aimed at heavy machinery, including cranes, mining equipment, and transport systems, designed to optimize weight and increase payload capacity.

Both brands have received a 3-Star Green Steel Certification under the Ministry of Steel’s Green Steel Taxonomy, reflecting a focus on managing carbon emissions per tonne of finished steel.
