Amora shooting: Man wounded by illegal firearm after nightclub event

A man was shot four times with an illegal 9mm pistol following a Brazilian-themed 'baile funk' party at the Texas nightclub in the industrial zone of Amora, Seixal. The incident occurred around 5:45 AM.

The victim sustained four gunshot wounds to his leg. He managed to reach the Garcia de Orta Hospital in Almada on his own to seek emergency medical attention. While his injuries are serious, he is not in life-threatening condition.

Witnesses reported hearing multiple shots, causing a crowd of approximately 50 to 60 people to flee the scene. Authorities found various wrappers and a pack of banknotes at the location. The Public Security Police (PSP) initially attended the scene, but the investigation has been transferred to the Judiciary Police (PJ).
