AMP NZ reports steady H1 2026 financial results

AMP NZ reported steady performance for the first half of 2026, with revenue and profits experiencing slight declines. Total income for the New Zealand wealth management business fell to A$63 million, compared to A$67 million in the second half of 2025.

Net profit after tax for AMP NZ reached A$18 million, a decrease of A$2 million from the previous six-month period. Profits were driven by A$7 million from advice services and A$11 million from investments, including the AMP KiwiSaver and superannuation master trust. Investment costs remained stable at A$7 million for funds primarily managed by BlackRock.

Net cashflows, excluding pension payments, rose 19% to A$116 million, aided by increased KiwiSaver contribution rates. However, total assets under management ended June 30 at A$12.26 billion, slightly down from A$12.28 billion at the start of the year due to A$38 million in investment losses.
