Amparo Noguera faces criticism and reports of major financial fraud

Chilean actress Amparo Noguera has faced criticism following comments regarding the country's entertainment industry, which she described as “violent” and believed to be “eradicated.” Her remarks sparked a backlash from television panelists on the program Plan Perfecto, where host Francisca García-Huidobro labeled the actress “soberbia” (arrogant). Other commentators argued that many actors participate in entertainment news programs due to economic necessity or lack of other opportunities.

Separately, reports have highlighted a significant financial fraud targeting Noguera. Criminals posing as bank executives and police officers conducted a “psychological kidnapping,” using precise information about her assets to manipulate her. The scam resulted in the loss of substantial savings accumulated over nearly 40 years, involving the withdrawal of large sums of money, mutual funds, and the acquisition of loans under false pretenses.
