Amparo Taberner named Fallera Mayor of Torrent for 2027

Amparo Taberner Moncholí has been officially inaugurated as the Fallera Mayor of Torrent for 2027. The ceremony, held at l’Auditori, featured the ‘Terra’ show, an artistic performance using music, dance, and theater to trace the city's evolution from an agricultural village to its current state.

During the event, Torrent Mayor Amparo Folgado Tonda presented the sash and bouquet of flowers to Taberner, while Councilor Aitor Sánchez Collado delivered the official parchment. The ceremony was attended by the eight members of the Court of Honor, representatives from the city's 28 Fallas commissions, and local guest boards.

The celebration also honored the historical role of women in the festivities, noting their position as the primary representatives of the tradition since 1971.
