Ampcontrol supports Australian power infrastructure through transformer refurbishment

Ampcontrol is highlighting the importance of locally engineered solutions for Australia’s evolving energy sector. The company provides end-to-end capabilities, including designing, manufacturing, and maintaining critical assets to improve safety and reliability.

A recent demonstration of these capabilities involved a major transformer refurbishment project at Snowy Hydro’s Tumut 3 Power Station in New South Wales. To avoid the disruption of replacing four ageing 176MVA transformers that have been in operation since 1972, the project focused on refurbishing the existing assets to extend their operational life.
