Amper negotiates acquisition of radar sensor firm ART

Amper has confirmed that it is in negotiations to acquire Advanced Radar Technologies (ART), a Spanish company specializing in radar sensors, software, and systems for defense, security, and space sectors. The company communicated this to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) following reports that the deal, involving the Hyperion fund, could be valued at 40 million euros, with an additional 5 million euros contingent on meeting specific objectives.

No binding agreement has been signed at this stage. ART, which originated from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, develops technologies for drone detection, coastal surveillance, and critical infrastructure protection.

If finalized, this would mark Amper's fourth acquisition in eight months. Recent transactions include the purchase of Zeleros' technological assets in May, the 225 million euro acquisition of Teltronic in June, and the acquisition of Freqcon's production unit in July.
