Amphilochia inaugurates House of Christ’s Serenity charity center

The House of Christ’s Serenity, a new charitable structure of the local Church, was inaugurated on September 10, 2026, in Amphilochia. The ceremony was led by Metropolitan Damaskinos of Aetolia and Acarnania at the Holy Church of Saint Athanasios.

The facility is located in a renovated space that previously served as a kitchen for parish hostels. It has been transformed into a fully equipped professional kitchen where volunteers will prepare daily meals to serve the needs of the entire city of Amphilochia and the Saint Athanasios parish.

Presiding Priest Odysseas Kyrosimos noted that the project was established only fifteen months after the inauguration of the Parish Office and Archontariki, providing vital organizational support for philanthropy toward those in need. The event was attended by the Mayor of Amphilochia, Thanasis Touranidis, and representatives from local police, coast guard, and fire services.
