Amprion Offshore advances North Sea wind energy grid connections

Amprion Offshore GmbH is advancing the expansion of Germany's energy infrastructure through the BorWin4 and DolWin4 offshore grid connection projects. These initiatives aim to connect wind power from the North Sea to the German power grid.

In Lingen (Ems), a converter station is being constructed to convert direct current from the North Sea into alternating current for injection into the transmission grid. Siemens Energy is participating in the technical realization, providing two converter platforms in the North Sea and two corresponding onshore converter stations.

To support the construction phase, ELA Container has provided a large-scale mobile facility consisting of 51 container modules. This two-story structure covers a total usable area of 703 m² and includes construction offices, meeting rooms, first-aid facilities, an IT room, and kitchen amenities to facilitate site operations.
