Ampudia hosts Northern Regional Assembly of the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain

The Association of the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain held its Northern Regional Assembly in Ampudia, Palencia. The meeting brought together representatives from Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, the Basque Country, La Rioja, and the provinces of Burgos, Palencia, and León to coordinate efforts and share work.

Discussions focused on managing the summer tourism season, addressing the daily challenges faced by small municipalities, and protecting local heritage. Data presented indicated that July was the busiest month for the Cantabrian coast, while May saw higher activity in other parts of the northern region. The assembly also highlighted initiatives such as ‘El Club de los más Bonitos’, a traveler community designed to encourage tourism beyond the peak August period, and the use of social media to promote individual village identities within the broader association brand.
