Amr El-Gazzar diagnosed with ACL injury

Al Ahly defender Amr El-Gazzar has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and a torn medial meniscus. The injury occurred during a match against Al Mokawloon Al Arab in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Ahmed Gaballah, head of Al Ahly’s medical staff, confirmed that medical examinations and scans conducted on Thursday verified the severity of the injury. The medical team is currently determining the appropriate timing for surgery, which will be followed by a lengthy rehabilitation process.

El-Gazzar addressed fans via Instagram, expressing his acceptance of the situation and his determination to return to the pitch. Meanwhile, Zamalek defender Mahmoud Hamdi El-Wensh offered public support to his rival, wishing El-Gazzar a successful recovery.
