América de Cali defeats Deportivo Pereira to reach Copa BetPlay quarter-finals

América de Cali advanced to the quarter-finals of the Copa BetPlay Dimayor after a 4-1 victory against Deportivo Pereira at the Pascual Guerrero Stadium.

Despite an early setback when Jhon Largacha scored for Deportivo Pereira in the seventh minute, América de Cali responded with goals from Dany Rosero and Tomás Ángel. The team maintained their momentum to secure the win, marking their second consecutive victory following a 3-0 win against Alianza FC earlier in September.

América de Cali will now shift their focus to the Torneo Finalización, where they are scheduled to face Deportivo Pasto on September 14.
