Américo Aguiar honors firefighters on 25th anniversary of September 11

Cardinal Américo Aguiar, Bishop of Setúbal and chaplain of the Portuguese Firefighters League, has issued a message of support to the New York Fire Department to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Aguiar honored the memory of the 343 firefighters who died during rescue missions at the Twin Towers. He praised the immense courage shown by personnel who entered the buildings without hesitation and offered words of comfort to survivors facing serious health consequences, as well as to the families of those lost in the terrorist attacks.
