Américo Villarreal Anaya announces 173 million pesos for Palmillas agriculture

Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya announced a combined state and federal investment of 173 million pesos to support the agricultural vocation of Palmillas. During the second report of municipal president Sindy Paoleth Monita Ramírez, the governor emphasized that strengthening the agricultural sector is essential to strengthening the municipality.

Investment efforts include public works such as road maintenance on the Palmillas-San Vicente highway, improvements to access points for Congregación La Compuerta, and municipal roadwork. To support local producers, the government has provided fertilizers, seeds for sorghum, corn, and oats, as well as assistance to mitigate drought effects, genetic improvement, and forest development actions.

Additionally, federal welfare programs in Palmillas benefit 745 people through food security initiatives, community kitchens, school breakfasts, scholarships, and school supplies.
