Américo Villarreal Anaya presents four-year report for Tamaulipas

Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya presented his four-year administration report through an unconventional conversational format involving his entire cabinet and representatives from various social and business sectors.

Key reported outcomes include a reduction in multidimensional poverty from 26.8% to 20.2% and extreme poverty from 2.9% to 1.5%. In terms of security, the administration noted an increase in confidence in the State Police and the professionalization of the State Guard. Economic indicators highlighted include a 5.2% growth in the first quarter of 2026 and the announcement of 168 investment projects totaling over $20 billion USD.

Infrastructure developments were also emphasized, including significant investments in hospitals, water treatment plants in Nuevo Laredo, and hydraulic works. The Governor stressed the importance of coordination with the federal government under President Claudia Sheinbaum to continue driving strategic projects and maintaining institutional stability.
