Américo Villarreal confirms Claudia Sheinbaum visit to Tamaulipas

Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal announced that Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo is scheduled to visit the Polyforum in Ciudad Victoria on Thursday the 10th. The announcement was made during a solemn session in the municipality of Mier to mark the second report of Mayor Adriana Hinojosa Ibáñez.

Villarreal highlighted the state's progress, stating that performance indicators show Tamaulipas is objectively better positioned compared to other entities. He emphasized the role of combined state and federal welfare programs in driving this change.

In Mier specifically, combined state and federal investments between 2022 and 2026 total 436 million pesos, targeting social welfare, education, health, infrastructure, and security. Federal welfare programs have generated an accumulated flow of nearly 270 million pesos, with annual investment increasing from 35 million to 81 million pesos, a growth of over 130 percent. Additionally, state strategic programs have contributed nearly 24 million pesos to local benefits.
