Amsterdam: Explosions target residential buildings in multiple districts

Multiple explosions occurred in Amsterdam during the early hours of Friday morning, targeting residential areas in Watergraafsmeer and Osdorp.

In Watergraafsmeer, an explosive device detonated in the hallway of an apartment complex on Mária Telkesstraat, where influencer Sara Posh resides. While the resident was present during the blast, no injuries were reported. The explosion caused smoke and minor damage to a front door, and some residents were temporarily evacuated while the fire department inspected the building. Posh stated on social media that she will not be intimidated by this ‘cowardly act’ and intends to continue her social media activities.

Simultaneously, in Amsterdam-Osdorp, two separate explosions were reported near the Botteskerksingel and Beek en Hoff. One explosion damaged a building entrance, while another shattered windows at an apartment complex. In both instances, residents had to leave their homes as a precaution. Police are currently investigating the incidents to determine if there is a connection between the blasts and the motives behind them.
