Amsterdam police arrest suspect after car crash involving explosives

Police have arrested a 33-year-old man from Amsterdam in connection with a high-speed chase and subsequent car crash involving explosives. The incident occurred in Amsterdam Nieuw-West following a pursuit by the Dienst Speciale Interventies (DSI) on July 28.

The vehicle, which was being sought in relation to a cash machine robbery in Germany, contained explosive materials. The crash necessitated the evacuation of nearby homes and a care home within a 100-meter radius. While one suspect has been taken into custody in cooperation with the Koninklijke Marechaussee, authorities are still searching for two other occupants who fled the scene.
