Amsterdam woman arrested for organizing Wormerveer machine gun attack

An Amsterdam woman has been arrested in connection with a machine gun attack on the Elzenstraat in Wormerveer on July 14. Authorities allege the 26-year-old acted as an underworld broker, organizing the hit by recruiting an 18-year-old shooter and a 28-year-old driver.

A 33-year-old man from Hilversum was also detained for allegedly providing the weapon, identified as a Kalashnikov AK-47. The woman reportedly used Snapchat to recruit perpetrators using aliases, taking advantage of the platform's disappearing messages.

Investigators noted that during the attack, children were playing in the street. Communication logs suggest the woman specifically inquired if children were present in front of the house before instructing the shooter to proceed.

The woman is also linked to a separate attempted assassination in Hamburg, where she allegedly recruited a 13-year-old to target a member of the Hells Angels. She faces suspicions of attempted manslaughter, preparation for murder, and heavy assault.
