Amtrak offers free companion fare for First-Class Roomettes

Amtrak has launched its ‘Twice as Nice Sale,’ offering a free companion fare for bookings made on First-Class Roomettes. To utilize the promotion, travelers must use promo code C102 for bookings made before October 31, 2026, for journeys occurring between November 1, 2026, and January 31, 2027.

First-Class Roomette accommodations include amenities such as private rooms with convertible seats, oversized windows, and access to shared restrooms and showers. Passengers also receive complimentary meal service, priority boarding, and access to Metropolitan Lounges at select major stations. Dedicated room attendants are provided to assist with service.

Certain restrictions apply to the sale. The offer is valid for most routes but excludes the Southbound Auto Train (S3). Additionally, travelers must book both tickets on the same itinerary. Blackout dates are in effect for several periods in late 2026 and early 2027, including the weeks surrounding Thanksgiving and the December holiday season.
