Amtrak Train Strikes Stalled Car in Randall, Minnesota

Around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, a 62‑year‑old driver, James Progreba of Cushing, Minnesota, stalled his vehicle on East 6th Street in Randall. He escaped the car before an Amtrak passenger train hit the stalled vehicle. Debris from the impact struck Progreba, who was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

The incident was responded to by the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, Randall Fire & Rescue, Mayo Ambulance and Life Link III. No other injuries or fatalities were reported.
