AMV includes free glove coverage in all motorcycle insurance policies
AMV, an insurance company specializing in motorcycles, has announced it will include free coverage for gloves in all its insurance policies for both current and new clients.
This decision follows a reform to the General Traffic Regulations that went into effect on October 1. The new regulation mandates that drivers and passengers of motorcycles and mopeds use approved gloves when traveling on interurban roads, such as conventional roads, highways, and motorways. Failure to comply with this rule carries a 200 euro fine.
The new guarantee covers damage to gloves sustained during an accident. This addition complements existing coverage provided by the company for helmets and airbag vests. According to data from the Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT), injuries to hands and wrists account for 30% of all traumas suffered by motorcyclists in accidents.
