Amy Klobuchar faces scrutiny over Minnesota fraud scandal response
Senator Amy Klobuchar is facing scrutiny in her bid for the Minnesota governorship following an analysis of her office’s communications. An analysis by Fox News Digital found that between 2022 and 2025, Klobuchar’s Senate office issued approximately 1,000 press releases, yet none directly addressed the state’s widespread social services fraud scandal or the ‘Feeding Our Future’ case.
The fraud, which began in early 2022, has reportedly expanded from a $250 million child nutrition scandal into a broader social services issue that prosecutors suggest could total over $9 billion. Republican gubernatorial candidate and Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth has criticized Klobuchar, questioning her trustworthiness regarding the protection of taxpayer dollars.
The scandal involves allegations of significant fraud within the state’s social services systems, including Medicaid and housing stabilization services. Some instances of the fraud allegedly involved the purchase of luxury vehicles under the guise of business expenses.
