Amy Lethbridge to trek the Himalayas for Devon Air Ambulance

Amy Lethbridge, a 37-year-old from Kingsbridge, is preparing for a 60-mile walking challenge through the Himalayas in India. The self-funded trek is scheduled to take place from November 6 to November 16.

Lethbridge is undertaking the challenge to raise funds for the Devon Air Ambulance, setting a fundraising goal of £2,500. She is performing the trek in memory of her friend, DJ Foale, who passed away after being airlifted to a hospital.

The 10-day challenge will involve approximately five days of walking at altitudes exceeding 3,000 metres above sea level. Despite a recent ankle injury involving a torn ligament and a bone fracture, Lethbridge has been training to prepare for the expedition.
