Amy Parsons to resign as Colorado State University president
Amy Parsons has announced she will step down as the president of Colorado State University (CSU) on December 31. While Parsons did not provide a specific reason for her departure, she described her tenure as the university’s 16th president as the “honor of a lifetime.”
CSU Chancellor Tony Frank has named Provost Rick Miranda as the interim president to manage the transition. Miranda has extensive experience at the university, having previously served as interim president from June 2022 until Parsons took office in February 2023.
Parsons joined CSU following a nationwide search in late 2022, transitioning from a role as CEO of the e-commerce company Mozzafiato LLC. During her leadership, the university saw growth in its research enterprise and national academic standing.
