Amy Winehouse Band to host ‘Back to Black 20’ tribute concert in London

The Amy Winehouse Band will perform a one-night-only tribute concert at London’s Roundhouse on October 21 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the landmark album ‘Back to Black’. The event, titled ‘Back to Black 20’, will feature the album’s original producers, Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, alongside longtime musical director Dale Davis.

A lineup of guest vocalists will reinterpret songs from the Grammy-winning record, including Jorja Smith, Corinne Bailey Rae, Lianne La Havas, Yebba, Sasha Keable, Jessie Reyez, FLO, Baby Rose, Nia Smith, and Skye Newman. Mark Ronson stated that the goal of the night is “doing justice to the legacy of Back to Black.”

The performance will be recorded for broadcast on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer in late October, with a radio broadcast scheduled for October 26 on BBC Radio 2. Originally released in 2006, ‘Back to Black’ became a massive commercial success, reaching number one on the UK Official Albums Chart and earning multiple Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Rehab.”
