Amy Winehouse unreleased interview released

A previously unknown interview with singer Amy Winehouse, conducted in May 2007, has been released nearly two decades after it was recorded. At the time of the interview, Winehouse was 23 years old and had achieved significant success with her album ‘Back to Black’.

In the conversation, conducted by journalist Ariel Levy at the Mondrian Hotel, Winehouse discussed her fears of not leaving a lasting legacy, her views on fame, and her personal life following her marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil. She expressed that while she was proud of her musical achievements, she felt a sense of peace with her work, stating, ‘If I die tomorrow – then so be it’. She also noted that she found happiness in simple moments, such as cooking for friends and cleaning her home.
