Amyl and The Sniffers release live album and film 'Truth Or Consequence' with São Paulo screenings

Australian punk band Amyl and The Sniffers are issuing a dual project that pairs a live album with a concert‑film titled Truth Or Consequence. The performance was recorded on 28 April 2025 at the El Coyote Mexican Restaurant in Los Angeles, where the group re‑imagined its catalog in stripped‑down country‑style arrangements, added two new songs and covered Slim Dusty’s classic “Lights on the Hill.”

The album and vinyl will be available on streaming services on 4 September 2026, while the film will be shown in special cinema screenings worldwide. In Brazil, the movie will play at São Paulo’s Cine LT3 on 29 August 2026. The band described the project as “a noisy celebration among a beloved group of friends.”

John Angus Stewart, a longtime collaborator, directed the film, which intersperses backstage moments with the intimate performances.
