Amyr Klink's Atlantic crossing inspired film '100 Dias' announced

The film ‘100 Dias’, directed by Carlos Saldanha, is set to be released in theaters on October 29, 2026. Based on the book ‘Cem Dias Entre Céu e Mar’, the movie dramatizes the true story of Brazilian navigator Amyr Klink.

The plot follows Klink’s historic 1984 journey, during which he crossed the South Atlantic alone in a self-designed rowing boat, traveling from Namibia toward Brazil. Starring Filipe Bragança, the film aims to provide an immersive experience, focusing on the technical details of survival—such as maps, coordinates, and dehydrated food—as well as the psychological journey of the character, exploring themes of solitude, memory, and the transformation of fear into respect for the ocean.
