Bắc Ninh police prosecute Phạm Thị Huyền for selling counterfeit luxury jewelry

The Economic Crime Police Department of Bắc Ninh province arrested 28‑year‑old Phạm Thị Huyền and charged her with violating Vietnam’s industrial property law. Investigators found that she used Zalo, Facebook and TikTok to advertise and sell 283 pieces of metal‑gold jewelry bearing forged logos of international brands such as Hermès, Cartier, Chanel, Van Cleef & Arpels and BVLGARI. The seized items were valued at roughly VND 3.96 billion (≈ US$170 k). On 7 July 2026 the provincial police issued a criminal indictment and a detention order, and the investigation is being expanded to identify any additional violations. Authorities warned consumers to remain vigilant against counterfeit goods and urged businesses to register and protect their intellectual‑property rights.
