Pro Recco clinches 38th Italian water polo championship
Pro Recco defeated AN Brescia 17‑12 in the third match of the A1 water‑polo final series at the Mompiano pool, completing a 3‑0 sweep and securing the club’s 38th Italian scudetto – its fifth consecutive title. The victory marked an unbeaten season that also included the Coppa Italia earlier in the year. Francesco Condemi was the leading scorer with four goals, while veteran Francesco Di Fulvio celebrated the win before departing for Barcelona. Coach Sandro Sukno praised the squad, saying, “Siamo i campioni!” and highlighted the high level of play throughout the season. Di Fulvio added, “Emozioni altissime, fortissime… non era facile chiudere la serie in tre gare, ma siamo stati bravi a non abbassare il nostro livello di gioco.” The triumph reinforces Pro Recco’s dominance in Italian water polo.
