ANA and Weed launch specialized gloves for ground handling

All Nippon Airways (ANA) and the glove manufacturer Weed have announced the joint development and implementation of specialized gloves for ground handling personnel. Starting September 1, these gloves will be rolled out across the ANA Group.

Designed to balance safety and operational efficiency, the “ZIZAI ZI-572” gloves feature fingertip protection that complies with the American ANSI/ISEA 138 standard and the European EN388 cut-resistance level C. The gloves include a wrist belt to reduce strain when handling heavy objects and utilize a special coating that allows for touchscreen operation on tablet devices.

The design was informed by observations of ground handling tasks, such as transporting containers weighing over one ton within strict time limits, ensuring the gloves meet the specific ergonomic needs of airport staff.
