Ana Castela shares video of gold-covered steak in Orlando

Brazilian singer Ana Castela, known as ‘Boiadeira’, shared a video on social media featuring a steak covered in 24-karat edible gold leaves. The meal was served at a Brazilian barbecue service in Orlando, Florida.

During the video, presenter Sabrina Sato also made an appearance. The singer noted the luxury of the dish, remarking, “Boy, this is chic here.”

Edible gold is used primarily for decoration in culinary dishes, including desserts and drinks. While the European Food Safety Authority has deemed pure edible gold safe for consumption, it is noted that the metal is not absorbed by the intestine and provides no nutritional benefits.
