Ana Fernández Antorrena named PP candidate for Celanova mayoralty

The Partido Popular (PP) of Celanova has announced Ana Fernández Antorrena as its candidate for mayor in the May 2027 municipal elections. Fernández, who previously served as the Councilor for Culture, will also take over the presidency of the local management committee.

Fernández intends to build a team that combines experienced local politicians with new faces. Her immediate plans include establishing working groups to develop the party's electoral program.

Her campaign priorities include addressing urban cleanliness, public safety, improving connections to rural areas, and maintaining municipal roads. Additionally, she aims to boost the local business park and draft a new municipal urban planning plan (PXOM) to expand commercial areas, attract new companies, and promote job creation. She also expressed interest in making public land available for protected housing.
