Ana Giuliano wins bronze at South American Games golf

The golf competition at the 2026 South American Games in Santa Fe concluded at the Rosario Golf Club, featuring notable performances from regional athletes.

In the women's individual category, Argentina's Ana Giuliano secured the bronze medal with a total of 292 strokes. Giuliano, a 17-year-old amateur, set a course record during her first round with a score of 66. The gold medal was won by Paraguay's Sofía García (275 strokes), while Colombia's María José Bohorquez took silver (290 strokes). Argentina also earned a bronze medal in the mixed team competition.

Representing Peru, Aitana Tuesta achieved the nation's highest placement with a fifth-place finish in the women's individual event. Zoe Pinillos followed in ninth place. In the men's division, Santiago Zubiate and Patricio Freundt-Thurne finished 15th and 16th, respectively. Peru concluded the mixed team competition in sixth place.
