Ana Hinestrosa shifts from Canal Sur morning show to TVE afternoon program

Spanish journalist and presenter Ana Hinestrosa left the morning edition of Canal Sur after seven years to join national broadcaster TVE as host of an afternoon magazine programme. She had been the main anchor of the Andalusian channel’s morning show since 2019, helping to grow its audience.

Hinestrosa, a University of Málaga graduate who also trained at the RTVE Institute, previously worked for local station 101 TV and took part in TVE projects such as "Desaparecidos". Her departure was announced last week, and colleague Toñi Moreno, who succeeded her on Canal Sur, expressed an emotional farewell.
