ANA, JAL and Japan Airport Building Start Anti‑Human Trafficking Campaign at Haneda
Japan's two major airlines, ANA Holdings and Japan Airlines, together with Japan Airport Building, installed digital signage at Haneda Airport on July 27 to raise awareness of human trafficking. The campaign coincides with the UN‑designated World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, and a joint training session for cabin crew and ground staff was held on July 28.
The signage, created with material from the United Nations International Organization for Migration, will also run at Narita and Chubu airports later in July. About 30 staff members participated in the training, which featured discussions and presentations supported by IOM, IATA, Narita International Airport and Japan Airport Building. The initiative aims to improve detection and reporting procedures for suspected trafficking cases on aircraft, building on earlier airline guidelines established in 2019.
