Ana Júlia Alves Ferreira dies at age 20 in São Paulo

Ana Júlia Alves Ferreira, a 20-year-old Civil Engineering student, passed away on June 9, 2026, following health complications. The young woman, a native of Monte Alto in the interior of São Paulo, died after facing severe pulmonary issues.

During her illness, she was treated in the intensive care unit (CTI) at the Hospital das Clínicas de Ribeirão Preto. Ferreira was recognized by her community and family for her academic dedication, having been an exemplary student throughout her schooling and pursuing her degree despite the challenges of commuting between Monte Alto and Bebedouro.
