Ana Lúcia Holanda and Matheus Huari elected to lead MAG

Ana Lúcia Holanda and Matheus Huari have been acclaimed as the president and vice-president, respectively, of the Movimento Amigos do Garantido (MAG) for the 2027/2028 biennium. The announcement was made during a ceremony in Manaus on Sunday, August 30.

The election proceeded with a single registered slate. According to the Electoral Commission, all deadlines established in the call for candidates were met, and no challenges or objections were filed during the contestation period.

The current president, Claudia Santos, will remain in her position until January to complete her term. She expressed confidence in the new leadership, stating that the movement is in “good hands.” Holanda, who previously served on the board, expressed her commitment to maintaining a participatory management style and keeping the entity united.
