Ana Ledezma Becomes First Female State President of Mexico’s PAN in Veracruz
Ana Cristina Ledezma López was unanimously elected by the 108 members of the PAN state council in Veracruz to serve as the party’s first female state president. The election, held on 20 June, will be finalized after ratification by the PAN National Committee.
Ledezma outlined her agenda, emphasizing territorial strengthening across Veracruz’s 212 municipalities, a drive to increase and renew party membership, youth engagement, and preparation for the 2027 electoral cycle. She left open the possibility of future alliances while criticizing the current state government of Morena on security, health, and economic issues.
