Anabel Hernández releases new book Narcocracia

Investigative journalist Anabel Hernández has released a new book titled ‘Narcocracia’. The work, which has already seen its first print run sell out during pre-sale, reportedly utilizes data provided by a criminal figure close to the Beltrán Leyva clan.

The publication follows a shift in the political reception of Hernández’s work. While former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador previously praised her investigative efforts as professional and brave, the relationship changed following her 2022 report regarding alleged links between the MORENA political coalition and the Sinaloa Cartel.
