Anaconda enters tourist boat in Brazil's Pantanal
An anaconda entered a tourist boat during a trip on the Paraguai Mirim River in the Brazilian Pantanal. The incident occurred during a navigation between Porto Esperança, in Corumbá, and Serra do Amolar.
Photographer Vinicius Eduardo captured the moment, noting that the snake had previously circled under the boats and observed the surroundings. After an initial unsuccessful attempt to board, the animal entered the vessel on its second try with the permission of those on board. The snake was subsequently removed so the tour could continue.
While the photographer described the animal's behavior as docile, he noted that the encounter was intimidating and emphasized the need for caution when encountering wildlife in its natural habitat. The group also reported sighting two or three other anacondas in the area during the excursion.
