Anadolu Birliği Partisi says 86 MPs and 74 provincial heads will join

Anadolu Birliği Partisi (ABP) leader Bedri Yalçın said the party has established structures in 81 provinces and is ready to contest elections. He claimed that negotiations with the Republican People’s Party (CHP) have resulted in 86 CHP deputies and about 74 provincial chairmen agreeing to join ABP, with no legal obstacles. Yalçın added that the party will proceed to a compulsory general assembly to adjust its membership numbers and internal bodies before formalizing the moves. He also rejected rumours that any agreement depended on Mansur Yavaş, stating that no such condition existed.

The statements were made during a meeting with CHP leader Özgür Özel and his staff, and Yalçın emphasized that the incoming members will complete the party’s organizational requirements before the assembly.
